He’d been distracted to say the least. Stress flowed through his system just as much as blood did at this point, though he hadn’t really noticed for much it effected him until he felt Sally’s hands lightly tough his face, her words cutting through the fog that the day had left him in. Sam looked up at her, his expression tired but curious. Here with him…the sentiment was so simple, but it pulled him up from under his thoughts, and for a moment he caught his breath. “Thank you…” he replied softly, reaching one hand up to place it on hers. His gaze remained on her face as he leaned his cheek into her hand, the warmth he found there perking him up some more. “I’m sorry…I guess this boss stuff is taking more out of me than I thought.” He should have known better than to think she wouldn’t notice, and he was so glad she did. He sighed, finally closing his eyes and turning his face to place a gentle kiss on Sally’s palm.
her eyes closed at the warm feeling of skin on skin, a deep breath falling from the blonde’s lips as she moved closer to him - close enough for her chin to rest on top of his head and her arms to wind around his neck. a little kiss, deep red and so full of love, was then placed against her man’s forehead as she hugged him to her chest. the things he had seen … she wanted to protect him from them, soothe his fears and mend his soul, help in any way that she could for this was her life now too. for she loved him.
❝ this job … no job ain’t too good for you, baby. ❞ fingers slipped beneath the white collar of his shirt, moving in slow circles against his neck and rubbing all the stress away. ❝ and i’m fucking proud of you, we all are. ‘cause you’ve got what it takes to make it your bitch. ❞ another kiss, deeper than the last, marked his bare skin with lipstick.
